The Betfair Football £10 Bet of the Day
Day 13: We're backing under 3.5 goals in the game Israel and Malta at [1.86]
Sheffield Wednesday's James O'Connor bagged two goals for the Owls yesterday to see off Notts County and make sure our punt on them to be leading at half-time and full-time came in.
Now we're back to winning ways, we're confident Malta can do us a favour and restrict Israel to a win by the odd goal. The Israelis should win, but we reckon they'll find it more of a struggle than people might think.
Malta may have only won one of their last 21 games, but they have shown fairly steady improvement in recent months. They had a 'good' 3-0 defeat against Germany in May and last month drew with Macedonia.
Israel haven't exactly been in top form recently either, losing 4-1 and 3-0 to World Cup qualifiers Uruguay and Chile. Also, in their last nine home wins only two of those games have yielded over 3.5 goals.
We have no doubt that Israel will win - especially on home soil - but we fancy Malta to make a game of it and restrict the Israelis to only a couple of goals.
Our bet: We're backing there to be under 3.5 goals in the Israel against Malta match at [1.86], meaning that - before commission is considered - we stand to win £8.60. Get a free bet and back this now!
