10 Brutal Amateur Football Fouls
Dan Fitch looks at the worst fouls in amateur soccer.
There's not so much at stake in amateur football as there is in the professional game, so there should be less fouls, right? Think again.
Sunday league games are awash with the sort of dangerous challenges that would see the referee giving multiple red cards at the highest level.
Here are 10 brutal amateur football fouls.
10. Foul Throw
Is this rare example of a throw in related foul, malicious? It's hard to say, but what we do know is that it definitely hurt.
9. Bone Breaker
As someone remarks on this video, "That's nasty..."
8. Concrete
Almost without exception, falling on concrete is bad for your health.
7. Indoor Brutality
Further proof that it's often better to be fouled on grass.
6. Footballer Or Wrestler
We're no wrestling experts, but this looks like a DDT.
5. Smooth Criminal
Is this a foul? The nearby linesman doesn't think so, but watch the replay and you'll notice the sneakiest of pushes.
4. Battiston Mark II
Someone has been watching too many videos of the 1982 World Cup Semi Final.
3. Nigel De Jong Mark II
And someone else has been watching too many videos of the 2010 World Cup Final.
2. Over The Fence
The player who makes the foul here, appears to be retaliating after receiving a blow to the crown jewels. When you mess with something that important, then you'd better be prepared for the consequences.
1. Not Czech Mates
This tackle from the Czech Republic is truly brutal and is not for the faint-hearted.

In #5 it appears the AR does see the misconduct. He does not use his flag to indicate a foul, but does cover his badge and point at the offending player to indicate to the referee that player should be cautioned.

Wow, some of those hard tackles are really nasty. In our old eastern europe there would be at least some face punching after #7 and #1.
