Bet On The Unsound Pound

Hot or Not RSS / Editor / 30 October 2008 / Leave a comment

WANT to know how to profit from the weak pound?

And is it ever weak. The pound was valued at $1.55 yesterday after being close to $2 for two years.

Indeed, since August of 2007, the pound has lost over 14 percent of it value against the UK's main competitors and trading partners.

It is an unsound pound. The pound in your pocket is worth less and less.

And with interest rates set to fall, the pound looks less attractive to investors in UK pounds.

But what if you are holding foreign exchange? That's worth more now.

Says you have a few hundred euros. The cost of holiday to the US is higher than it was a year ago.

Should you change the money back into pounds? Well, no. After the bank has taken its commission, it's just not worth it.

Better to place a bet in the currency on Tradefair.

A spread bet is good value. There are a number of pairs on offer and the market is open 24 hours a day...
