Stud flop George Washington faces one of the most eligible fillies in training when he gets his racing career back on track in the Queen Anne Stakes on Tuesday's opening Royal Ascot programme.

When George Washington was winning the 2006 2,000 Guineas, the Michael Bell-trained Red Evie was a 77-rated handicapper.

While George missed the St James's Palace Stakes with pulled muscles in his hip 12 months ago, Red Evie won the Listed Sandringham Handicap at the Royal meeting.

And when the O'Brien star was withdrawn from stud duty due to low fertility and returned to training, Red Evie was gaining the best win of her career in the Group One Juddmonte Lockinge Stakes.

Despite his absence, George Washington is as short as 2.14 in the Betfair market for the Queen Anne Stakes with Red Evie on 7.6.
