India take on Australia in the fifth one-day international in Vadodara on October 11, fresh from their eight-run victory over the Aussies on Monday.
After the first match was ruined by rain, betting on Australia has been the smart move as they landed the odds in the first two matches but a bet on India would have seen customers collecting in the fourth encounter.
Rahul Dravid's poor form continued but punters betting on Sachin Tendulkar to be top run scorer at decent odds landed a shrewd bet as the little master compiled a patient 79 to build a platform for the big-hitting Mahendra Dhoni to hammer a rapid half-century.
Dhoni could be worth a bet in the Indian top run-scorer market as only Yuvraj Singh is ahead of him, but they are both a long way behind Australia's Matthew Hayden in the overall series betting, who has amassed 261 runs in four innings.
However a bet on Andrew Symonds could be beneficial as he is just three runs behind Hayden, with the pair scoring 92 and 75 respectively on Monday.
Michael Clarke missed out in Chandigarh but is just 39 runs adrift of the opener in the run-scoring charts.
Betting in the bowling department is even tighter with odds available on Sreesanth to top the wicket-taking charts. He has eight scalps to date, while a bet on Brad Hogg may be wise as the Aussie has claimed six in the series.
Irfan Pathan and Zaheer Khan both have five while decent odds are available on Mitchell Johnson, who has four victims, but is a dangerous customer with ball in hand.
India need to win the remaining three matches to take the series, providing the weather does not intervene, but they are long odds to do so, with Australia favourites in the betting to claim the series.
