There are always fireworks when India and Pakistan meet on the cricket pitch and the betting activity will be just as fascinating, as the rivals start their five match one-day series.
The pair do battle in Guwahati on November 6 and those having a bet would be well advised to consider previous one-day encounters between the teams.
Odds checkers should be aware that India have had the edge over their rivals in recent years, although Pakistan do have the upper-hand overall - winning 64 of the 108 ODI meetings to date.
India though have won five of the last six meetings between the sides, including a 4-1 series win in Pakistan last year, which is likely to be reflected in the betting as the pair build-up for another fierce battle.
The two teams have never played at Guwahati, but those having a bet should note that India have a mixed record there having won four and lost three of the seven ODI's completed at the venue.
April 2005 was the last time the two sides met on Indian soil and it was the tourists who claimed a massive 159-run victory. Pakistan's Shoaib Malik (72) top scored on that occasion and is likely to be a popular option in the 'Top Runscorer' betting once again.
Sentiment and betting very rarely go together, but this series could be Sachin Tendulkar's last against Pakistan and the 'Little Master' is likely to attract plenty of bets as he seeks to add to his amazing run statistics.
Those considering a bet when checking the odds for possible totals in Guwahati, should consider that only twice in 12 ODI's has a team scored over 300. The last time that happened was in 2002, when India (333) defeated Zimbabwe by 101 runs.
