It could be Graeme's day
So a thrilling First Test comes down to this: Indian obdurance versus English patience. All three results are technically possible and Andrew Hughes will be somewhere near the edge of his seat throughout.
WICKET Sharma lbw b Broad 1
That's it! England have won, deservedly, having dominated for most of the five days of this match. Hope you've enjoyed it. I'm off for a lie down. See you at Trent Bridge on Friday
WICKET Raina c Prior b Anderson 78
Brave innings from Raina comes to an end. He really has applied himself well today. If only 2 or 3 of the other Indian batsmen could have stuck at it as well as he did
WICKET Praveen b Broad 2
That's pretty much it. Only Ishant and the injured Zaheer to come. An England win is now down to [1.14]
WICKET Harbhajan c Tremlett b Anderson 12
That really is a poor effort from Harbhajan, a nothing sort of swat to mid on and England are gifted another wicket.
16:48 India 243-6
Poor behaviour from Broad. He had Raina plumb in front there, the decision wasn't given but there is no excuse for Broad staring at the umpire. And now he's arguing with Billy. Deserves to lose at least half his match fee for that.
16:45 India 240-6
It all depends on the youngest of the Indian batsmen now. Raina has played so well under pressure, but can he hang on? And more importantly, will the Indian tail enders support him?
WICKET Dhoni c Prior b Tremlett 16
Disaster for India, the captain has gone. He didn't hang around, walked straight off and that should be that. Harbhajan is the next man, but this really isn't his situation. Market shifts again and England now [1.56] favourite
16:05 India 221-5
Raina is batting well but he's got his work cut out against the new ball. Potentially 43 overs to go and all hope of an Indian win long gone. But the defiance from Raina and Dhoni has led punters to back the draw again, which is back in to [1.71] favourite.
TEA India 218-5
A session that has followed the pattern of the match so far, England on top, but India continuing to fight hard. Join me in 20 minutes for the last session
15:23 India 200-5
Some resistance from India and England have the part-timers on. Looks like we're drifting towards tea. One more wicket and this could end pretty quickly.
14:50 India 165-5
The play has a certain inevitability about it at the moment. The new ball is due soon and there seem to be big appeals every over, the latest was a shout for a stumping against Raina, given not out after a review. The market seems to have shifted decisively for England, with the home win as short as [1.49]
WICKET Tendulkar lbw b Anderson 12
Anderson gets his reward, beat Tendulkar's bat and that's a good decision by Billy Bowden. Sachin walks off at Lord's in a Test match, probably for the last time. It's a shame he couldn't get that 100th century on this stage.
14:42 India 165-4
Dropped! Tough chance to Strauss at slip, but he puts it down. Tendulkar survives his second chance.
14:20 India 162-4
Raina edges Broad between slips and gully for a boundary. Another near miss. The draw is now just the favourite at [1.93]
14:10 India 155-4
Some delay as there are people moving behind the sightscreen. Raina just crunched a lovely shot on the up through the covers.
13:57 India 147-4
Another roar from Broad and the fielders get excited. The umpire says no. There'll be lots of that this afternoon. A testing time. Replays show it was hitting the stumps. India have cause to be thankful that there's no DRS.
13:46 India 144-4
Tendulkar v Swann could be the definining contest of this session and it makes for fascinating viewing. Punters can't quite make up their mind; the draw and the England win alternating as favourite. Right now England are [1.83]
LUNCH India 142-4
Just the session England wanted, though they had some help. Laxman and Dravid gave their wickets away. I'll be back in 40 minutes with the afternoon session.
WICKET Gambhir lbw b Swann 22
Big shout from Swann, Asad Rauf took a while but the finger went up and India are really up against it. England's odds have dropped dramatically to [1.57]
WICKET Laxman c Bell b Anderson 56
VVS what have you done! Lazy shot to a nothing ball and scoops it straight to midwicket. And now Sachin is coming out. The crowd go predictably crazy
12:35 India 127-2
Broad is bowling sharply and just induced a leading edge from Laxman, but it didn't carry to a fielder. 25 minutes to go to lunch and the draw is down to [1.43]
12:20 India 117-2
Broad just snuck one past Laxman's edge and there's another appeal, reviewed, but not out. Good news for Indian fans as Sachin can bat after 12:30, although they will be hoping he doesn't have the chance for a while yet.
11:57 India 104-2
More sulking from Stuart. A big shout and Billy turns it down, mainly because it wasn't out. Get on with it Broad. Even if they'd had DRS and it had been reviewed, that would not have been given.
11:50 India 100-2
Lots of noise and enthusiasm at Lord's, thanks mainly to the Indian supporters. Gambhir and Laxman are digging in as we near the end of the first hour. Which way do you think the game will go today. Can India win? Get in touch at betfairliveblogger@hotmail.co.uk and let us know what you think.
WICKET Dravid c Prior b Anderson 36
Huge wicket. Dravid played a nothing shot and got an edge. To be fair to him, he doesn't like opening and was forced to do so by Gambhir's injury. And he held things together yesterday in the final session. Gambhir walks out, his elbow bruised, but not broken. Lots to do for India.
11:20 India 881
Just the two slips for England. Isn't that a touch negative? They surely aren't worried about India getting this target? And as I type, Bell misses a sharp one. It was a snorter from Tremlett and Dravid edges it onto his pad, but Bell couldn't cling on. Tense stuff out there
10:58 India 80-1
A full house at Lord's due to the reduced ticket prices and the prospect of a thrilling finish. Let's hope the game goes to the last session and we have a fitting climax to a top quality Test. The draw is still favourite at [1.66] but you can get [2.66] about an England win and if you fancy India to pull off the unexpected, you can back them at [36.0]
