King to go for Jubilee

Last season's Wokingham winner Baltic King looks unlikely to defend his crown and will possibly step up in class and run in the Golden Jubilee Stakes.
The Hughie Morrison-trained seven-year-old produced a dramatic burst of speed to capture the race last season under top weight and while also entered in the King Stand Stakes, his trainer thinks the Golden Jubilee will suit him better.
With just a Beverley listed race win since that Wokingham success, the gelding ran a rare lacklustre effort at Windsor on his latest start.
"He's more likely to go to the Golden Jubilee and again won't run in the King's Stand," Morrison told sportinglife.com.
"He was a bit quiet and a bit flat after Windsor.
"We scoped him on the Tuesday and he basically had an inflamed throat which would explain his poor run. Hopefully that will be out of his system so he can run his true race next week.
"The big field and strong pace would suit him in the Golden Jubilee but there becomes a concern as to whether we are going to get in or not. It is a fascinating race and it is great that it is such an international contest. Ascot have done wonderfully well to attract the top Australian horses. It adds so much."
Baltic King currently trades at 44 for the Golden Jubilee Stakes in a market dominated by Australian raiders.
Miss Andretti (6.8), Bentley Biscuit (8) and Takeover Target (10) are the antipodean entrants split by the British challengers Amadeus Wolf (7.6) and Asset (8.4) for the race on June 23.
