England captain Michael Vaughan has aggravated his hamstring injury and will not play in the one-day series final against Australia.

The 32-year-old returned from a five-match absence to lead England to a 14-run win over New Zealand on Tuesday, which earned a place in the best-of-three finals against the hosts but, in doing so, aggravated the problem and will be sent home on Saturday.
Vaughan has been advised to rest for ten days but his availability for the World Cup, which starts on March 13, is not in doubt at the moment.

The Yorkshire star first suffered the problem in England's second game of the Commonwealth Bank Series against New Zealand in Hobart, the side's first win on tour.
After returning to the side for the crucial clash in Brisbane, his injury jinx has struck again ruling him out of the finals, and the latest blow comes after being sidelined from international duty for 13 months with a knee injury.

Vaughan is obviously disappointed with the setback but is confident he will be fit to fly to the Caribbean next month.
"It has been very disappointing on this tour to have no problems with my right knee and then a hamstring comes about," Vaughan said.

"I am desperate to play but we have to look at the future and certainly the next few weeks with the World Cup in mind.
"The medical staff have told me there is absolutely no doubt I will be on the plane for the World Cup."

Andrew Flintoff will again captain the side in Vaughan's absence, with the first game taking place in Melbourne on Friday.
England will be looking to make a flying start against the Aussies and are available at 6 to win the opening encounter in the Match Odds market, while Australia are the overwhelming favourites to win at 1.19.

Flintoff, whose batting has suffered since being handed the captain's armband for the tour Down Under, is trading at 6.2 to finish Top England Batsman for the opening Final, with Ed Joyce the favourite to claim the most runs at 5.2 and Ian Bell next up at 5.3.
