Ramonti, a game winner of the Group1 Queen Anne Stakes at Royal Ascot last month, looks set to make his next racecourse appearance at Glorious Goodwood, when he will most likely contest the premier mid-summer mile event, the BGC Sussex Stakes.
Frankie Dettori produced the ex-Italian trained five-year-old to lead on the line and deny Jeremy by a short-head in a tremendous finish at the Royal meeting.
And the indications are that the son of Martino Alonso will continue to be campaigned at eight furlongs for the time being.
"The Sussex Stakes is a strong possibility. He has come out of his race very well and that's a race we are looking at," commented Godolphin's racing manager Simon Crisford.
UAE Derby winner Asiatic Boy is a strong favourite in Betfair's ante-post market for the race, trading at 2.76 to back. Ramonti is next best at 5, ahead of George Washington at 5.2, while Excellent Art is offered at 6 and Cesare at 12.5 and it's 14 bar.
