Big-hitters Andrew Symonds and Ross Taylor will be they key men in this encounter as they attempt to steer their teams towards the semis. It should all make for a very tense match and could well provide for a trader's paradise, says Jaymes Monte.
Team News
Bangalore seem to have stumbled upon a winning formula which sees them on the brink of the semi-finals, despite a poor start to the tournament. I'd be very surprised to see any change in either their batting or bowling line-up of the last few games.
Gilchrist and Gibbs have opened for Deccan throughout most of the tournament, and consistently followed up by the three S's; Suman, Symonds and Sharma, in that order. RP Singh will lead the attack with the ball, looking to hang on to his leading wicket taker, purple cap.
Venue, conditions
A high scoring ground where the use of flood lights in the day-night games seems to have little detrimental effect on a team's ability to chase down big targets.
One issue which should be factored into your betting prospects is the length of time available for players to warm up following the conclusion of the morning game. Both sides will be hoping that Mumbai and Delhi get through their overs at a high speed.
Match Odds
A match like this, with so much riding on it can change in the blink of an eye and then change back again before you've re-adjusted in your seat. It has all the hallmarks of a classic and in true T20 style I'd advise laying both sides at [1.6] then sitting back and enjoying the spectacle.
Top Batsmen
Bangalore have had nine different top run scorers throughout this tournament meaning that picking a winner here is akin to finding the proverbial needle in a hay stack. Ross Taylor is their form man though, top scoring in two of their previous three matches so back him @ [4.5] to be top Bangalore batsman.
Andrew Symonds' style of batting is tailor-made for this format of the game and whenever he makes his way to the crease he is given licence to express himself. I'd want to be on the right side of him in any T20 match, and you can back him at around the [5.5] mark here.
Featured Market
This has potential to be a tight match with both sides looking to nick an extra run between the wickets wherever possible, this will inevitably lead to increased run-out opportunities. With AB de Villiers in the field he could well reach this target on his own so back Over 1.5 Run Outs @ [2.0].
Jaymes Monte says: Back Over 1.5 Run Outs @ [2.0]
