"India were matched at a high of [8.6] when the England openers were going so well and will feel revenge has been served, after they failed to win a single match in any format during their recent tour of England."
The same old problems surfaced once again this afternoon in Kolkata and England were comprehensively beaten. MS Dhoni's men completed a 5-0 whitewash after being matched at 8.6 in play on Betfair to win today.
England were comprehensively beaten once again in the 5th ODI as India completed a 5-0 whitewash, matched at odds of [19.0] in Betfair's correct score market.
But, unlike most of the other matches in this series, for a considerable part of it England were in total control.
Alastair Cook's men had already put themselves in a good position when having won the toss and elected to field, they had India at 162-5. The brilliant MS Dhoni staged a one-man comeback though, smashing 75 off 69 to set England 272 to win.
At the change of innings India were [1.5] to defend a good total on a two-paced wicket but the prices quickly flip-flopped as Craig Kieswetter and Cook found the boundary rope with ease and rotated the strike comfortably to get the tourists off to a flyer.
At 129-0 they traded at just [1.13] to save some face and finally win a match but the dismissal of Cook triggered a flurry of wickets, most falling to spin, and at least half of them down to poor judgement or rash shots.
Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin had England in a spin and the wickets kept tumbling as Dhoni's fields became increasingly unorthodox and aggressive.
India were matched at a high of [8.6] when the England openers were going so well and will feel revenge has been served, after they failed to win a single match in any format during their recent tour of England.
Betting.betfair readers will have been in the money if they had followed the betting advice of the site's team of cricket experts. Michael Vaughan and Ed Hawkins predicted comfortable wins for the hosts whilst Jamie Pacheco tipped Virat Kohli to be India's top batsman over the course of the series.
A one off T20 match will be played on Saturday and is the last match of this tour.
