Andrew Flintoff believes he is on the right track as the England all-rounder searches to find his form with the bat.
'Freddy' fired 66 off 84 balls for Lancashire on Sunday, helping his county to a victory over Northamptonshire in the Friends Provident Trophy.
The 29-year-old has been struggling with the bat in recent times, scoring just 92 in eight World Cup matches, but Flintoff insists he has been in the nets to try and find a solution.
Speaking after his side's Duckworth-Lewis success, the Lancastrian said: "I have worked hard on my batting all week.
"I have spent a lot of time in the nets trying to get back to where I want to be. Today I was getting there."
Amazingly, it was Flintoff's first half-century for Lancashire since 2001 and it was much needed for the north-west county, who have now won one and lost two of their three games in the competition.
Punters will keeping a close eye on Betfair's Friends Provident Trophy section, especially as the 'Winner' market gains more liquidity.
