Aidan O'Brien has confirmed that Epsom Derby runner-up Eagle Mountain is on course for the Irish equivalent at the Curragh on Sunday week, with a back-up of three possible stable companions.
Derby winner Authorized looks like going instead for the Eclipse so Eagle Mountain is having it all his own way in the Betfair market for the Irish Classic and heads the list at 1.99.
O'Brien's Soldier of Fortune, fifth at Epsom, is next best at 6.8, while stable companions Alexander of Hales (28) and Spanish Harlem (55) have attracted some interest after being nominated as possibles by the Irish maestro.
The only other runner at single-figure odds is recent Longchamp scorer Royal and Regal, bred and still part-owned by former BHB chairman Peter Savill.
O'Brien has won the Irish Derby with Desert King (1997), Galileo (2001), High Chaparral (2002) and Dylan Thomas last year.
