Former England star Dominic Cork has criticised the ECB for allowing bowling coach Troy Cooley to team up with Australia.

The Lancashire bowler has responded to some poor bowling from the likes of Steve Harmison and Liam Plunkett in England's third Test against West Indies at Old Trafford.

Harmison is currently available to back at 4.1 to finish as the top England wicket taker in the series, with Plunkett last matched at 20 and currently available at 14.5. Monty Panesar is the 2.34 favourite with Ryan Sidebottom available at 2.74.

Both Harmison and Plunkett have come in for major criticism from pundits for their wayward deliveries, but Cork feels the finger of blame should be pointed at the ECB for allowing the successful Cooley to return home.

Cooley played a key role in the 2005 Ashes victory but was then replaced by Kevin Shine, after only being offered a new one-year contract.

Cork, who played 37 Tests, insisted: "To miss out on a talent like Troy Cooley was has showed in our results and how we've bowled. I think the ECB should hang their heads in shame."
