Last week's impressive all-the-way Royal Ascot Group 2 winner, Boscobel, is in great shape for his bid to complete a high-profile double in Sunday's Irish Derby.
The Sheikh Mohammed-owned colt, supplemented for the race at a cost of €150,000, made mincemeat of his rivals in the King Edward V11 Stakes.
That victory saw a fine front-running ride by Joe Fanning, who is once again in the saddle for the Group 1 showpiece at the Curragh.
"Boscobel is in great shape, he will handle any ground, but I suppose if it's on the soft side it might inconvenience some of the others, but it wouldn't inconvenience him," explained trainer Mark Johnston.
Aidan O'Brien's English Derby second, Eagle Mountain, heads the Betfair market for the Irish equivalent at 2.14.
Meanwhile, Boscobel is available to be matched at 8.2, just ahead of O'Brien's second string Soldier Of Fortune (8.6).
