Full Length coffee will stop fans nodding off
"Full Length coffee is certain to keep spectators wide-eyed during the matches so they can enjoy the action on the pitch without dozing off."
Cricket fans are full of beans before the Ashes as Betfair helps England supporters stay awake for late night Tests...
Cricket fans needn't be stumped by the time difference this Ashes series because a new super strength coffee has been specially engineered to keep England supporters wide-eyed for all the action in Australia.
To stop England fans from nodding off, Betfair, the World's Biggest Betting Community, is launching Full Length coffee produced by expert barista Youri Vlag. After researching hundreds of blends, experts settled on the limited edition brew which combines 90 per cent Papua New Guinea robusta with 10 per cent Honduras La Central arabica beans to provide a kick capable of keeping the Barmy Army up all night.
England fans, more used to guzzling beer than coffee, must follow the strict guidelines before consumption. Experts recommend that no more than two cups of the coffee be consumed within 24 hours as each 340ml serving of the coffee contains over 160mg of caffeine, the equivalent to almost three espressos or four cups of strong caffeinated tea. The coffee has been lightly roasted and packaged as a fine grind to give it higher caffeine content, while the high percentage of robusta beans gives the final blend a real kick.
Youri Vlag, expert barista and Managing Director of Limini Coffee, said: "This was a really interesting one-off challenge for my team of baristas who ordinarily deal in 100 per cent arabica and speciality coffees. We work with some of the best farms in the world so I knew we could produce this super strength blend, but it was an interesting process."
The first 200 cricket fans to get in touch with Betfair at coffee@betfair.com can get their hands on their very own sachet of Full Length coffee.
Betfair's Andy Lulham said: "We wanted to ensure cricket fans can enjoy watching the Ashes live - as it should be - regardless of the time difference. The Full Length coffee is certain to keep spectators wide-eyed during the matches so they can enjoy the action on the pitch without dozing off."
For the biggest caffeine kick, brew in a cafetiere for four minutes at a ratio of 60g coffee per litre of water. Warning cricket fans: drink responsibly.
