Andretti not great value - Trainer

Trainer Lee Freedman believes Miss Andretti may be not be value at the current price of 4.5, despite the mare being fit and ready for action in Tuesday's King Stand Stakes.

"Anyone who wants to take the silly odds they're betting about her on the score she is fit and well, take them, but at 3-1 or 4-1 she's probably not great value," he said.

Freedman was speaking to a local Sydney radio station and was forced to dispel the rumours sweeping Australia that all was not well with the six-year-old.

"I couldn't believe there was any chat about it at all, I mean, her blood count was fine, there was a small abnormality which no-one should have really known about but your guys are obviously right up on things there. She's fine now."

Freedman is not too bothered that his star mare has been drawn high for the five furlong contest, saying: "She's drawn over on the flat side rather than the stand side."

The trainer added: "It all depends who you talk to because before the track was reconstructed they would have all told you the outside (was best), but since then there hasn't been enough information, enough races run to know which is the worst or the best.

"Last year there was kind of a blanket finish. The good horses were down the outside and ran one-two-three but the horses on the inside were only about half a length behind so I don't see that as bias myself."

Three Australian challengers fill the first three places in the Betfair market for the race, with Miss Andretti on 4.5, Takeover Target on 7 and Bentley Biscuit trading at 10.

With Irish challenger Dandy Man is on offer at 10.5, the shortest-priced British-trained contender is Enticing on 11.5.
