Pietersen has been a hero for England at the tournament and was in insatiable form again
Kieswetter, Pietersen and Morgan guide England through after a strong performance in the field
England are Twenty20 World Cup champions after a seven wicket victory over Australia.
Man of the match Craig Kieswetter and player of the tournament Kevin Pietersen made life easy for captain Paul Collingwood's men in chasing down a total of 147 after knocks of 63 and 47 respectively. Nerves crept in when the South African-born pair were both out with the score on 121 and, briefly, the flow of runs was stopped.
But Eoin Morgan's cool head and lusty blows took them through in the end, much to the delight of those who backed England at a high of [15.0] in the tournament winner market. The Barbados win marks the end of a 26-year wait for a major trophy in the shorter versions of the game.
Amazingly, it's less than a year since England were humbled by the minnows of Holland in the Twenty20 format at Lord's.

This game and perhaps most of the games leading up to the final were won by the bowling, perhaps the best bowling attack in the whole tournament and it doesn't even get a mention here !!!
