Kent are favourites for tonight's final but they will be wary of Tyron Henderson after his stupendous semi-final batting.
Middlesex will meet Kent in tonight's semi-final after winning their semi-finals this afternoon against Durham and Kent respectively.
Going into the first semi-final Kent were favourites at [1.79], having traded at a low of [1.71] and a high of [1.95]. They set a total of 173 for 7 and managed to contain Essex with some tight bowling and exuberant fielding. Essex, who had traded at a high of [2.30] and a low [1.90] before the match, could only must 159 for 8.
Joseph Denly top-scored for Kent with 36 and Graham Napier failed to perform for Essex as he was caught out by Robert Key for 3.
The second semi-final was a more explosive affair. Favourites Durham had traded at a low of [1.51] and a high of [1.73] but despite an impressive 48 from Shivnarine Chanderpaul and 35 from Paul Colllingwood they only managed to make 138 for 6.
Middlesex set about their task with relish, led by a stupendous batting performance from Tyron Henderson who hit three consecutive sixes on his way to 59 not out from 21 deliveries. Middlesex reached their target with 23 balls and eight wickets to spare.
Kent are favourites to win tonight's final at [1.89] with Middlesex at [2.12].
