IT'S Friday. And the Casino Anorak takes a regular look at entertainment in Casinoville.

When the Supercasino arrives in the UK, and the large casinos are built, we imagine there will be domestic entrainment to thrill and delight. Cannon and Ball... Anthea Turner Dinner Theatre... Chas 'n' Rave...

For now, though, we advise that you either a) play online and watch EastEnders, or b) head to the U S of A.

In the Las Vegas Paris casino - just like Paris but without the roast cars a la mode - thrill seekers can catch hypnotist Anthony Cools "using his skills for decidedly evil purposes, tapping into the carnal desires and subconscious naughtiness of his audience, shearing off all inhibitions".

Says the blurb: "Signature stunts in his hilarious and interactive 90-minute show include handshakes that induce vocal, sexual responses, as well as several other tricks so shocking, we can't even print them.

"Cools pushes the limits of the mind and body, while remaining careful not to embarrass his subjects, a courtesy that has earned him a cult following."

Anyone sane would do well to sit well back and make no eye contact with Mr Cools. But there be fools.

Of course, you could just stay in and listen to the UK's home grown mentalist Paul McKenna telling you "I Can Make You Rich".

And wonder if he told the same thing to the people you're playing casino against...
