Enrique Iglesias Begins In Cape Town

IN our regular look at Casino entertainment, the Casino Anorak journeys to South Africa.

It is the occasion of the opening of GrandWest's new indoor concert arena. As the press release stated: "The supreme casino experience oscillates to a gamut of restaurants, bars and fast food outlets." All hail the world's first oscillating casino. No alcohol required.

As for the rock 'n' roll, Rocco de Villiers has been starring of late. A legend the length and breadth of the de Villiers household, Rocco de Villiers "pays tribute to the 'king of bling', the most flamboyant entertainer ever: pianist Liberace".

Thrill to "the firs [sic], the rings, the candelabra, the thousands of notes, the witty lines, the beautiful tunes and the band. The show is Las Vegas, buts also Africa. The show is Liberace, but also Liberocco."

Wow. Wowocco. Are you ready to oscillate, or at least rock gently to and fro?

"Music includes the Warsaw Concerto, Rhapsody in Blue, Jealously Tango, Moonlight Sonato, Chopsticks, Tango form [sic] scent of a woman, Don't cry for me Argentina and many more diamond-draped tunes! Some original pieces written by Rocco for the show."

Sadly, the Casino Anorak arrived in town too late to catch Rocco. But we did get Enrique Iglesias, son of Julio Iglesias, singer of When We Oscillate We Oscillate and many, many more...
