A memorable British 1-2-3 could be on the cards, with Conduit taken to follow in the footsteps of High Chaparral in landing back-to-back runnings. Dar Re Mi can hold off the selection's stablemate Spanish Moon for second

Telling Sprung: 33/1 shock on Grade 1 debut over this trip at Saratoga in August, coming well from off a strong pace to beat a good yardstick in Better Talk Now who won this race in 2004 (seventh, second and fourth in subsequent renewals). Demoted last time and needs the British raiders to underperform to get in the money here.

Conduit: Last year's winner has had a relatively light campaign this time around, but shown he's just as good, with a win in the King George at Ascot and a fourth to Sea The Stars in the Arc. Every chance of a carbon-copy run of last year's performance with him set to get a strong pace from which to pounce. Worthy favourite.

Red Rocks: Won this race at Churchill Downs three years ago but not as good these days and only third and tenth in the last two runnings.

Allegre : Yet to win a graded race and proven only up to 11f. No chance.

Dar Re Mi: Game filly who has enjoyed a superb year, winning 2 Group 1s, including the Yorkshire Oaks over this trip, before finishing a fine fifth in the Arc last time (length behind Conduit). Likely to track Presious Passion's every move and will be bang there when that one cries enough. Solid place claims.

Presious Passion: Free-going front runner who is the pick of the home-trained contenders and gained his second Grade 1 success of 2009 when making all in 10f Grade 1 at this track last month. Should ensure a fine pace but that's only likely to set things up nicely for a couple of the patiently-ridden British horses.

Spanish Moon : Like stable-companion Conduit has had a light year, though partly of his own doing having picked up a six-month ban in Britain for refusing at the stalls. Has looked better than ever since, though, picking up 2 Group 1s in France over this trip and he'd be a danger provided he doesn't boil over in what's likely to be some hectic preliminaries.

Monzante : Unraced over further than 10.3f and even at his best isn't up to the standard required to win this.
