Summer Bird crosses the line first during the 141st Running of the Belmont Stakes
Betfair's US cousins TVG highlight a quintet to look out for when the Santa Anita show gets started
Us Europeans have a good idea of who O'Brien, Godolphin and the French boys will be bringing over. But what about those American superstars?
We asked our TVG colleagues to rustle up some footage and interviews to give you a better picture of some of the American superstars.
Zensational (Breeders' Cup Dirt Sprint)
This boy is some powerhouse in the sprints. Winning his last three races with top Victor Espinoza on board he looks a shoe in for the Dirt Sprint.
Summer Bird (Breeders' Cup Classic)
Probably America's best three-year-old colt. Winner of two group ones this season he goes in as third favourite for the classic. Check out this interview and re-cap of his season so far with Tim Ice who sounds pretty confident.
Zenyatta (Breeders Cup Classic)
Well we've probably all have heard of this filly. Now a five-year-old she is still unbeaten and is one the undoubted stars of Santa Anita. She clearly is a punters' favourite in America, so TVG asked her fans what makes her special. Unfortunately, they didn't ask if she can beat Rip Van Winkle.
Mine That Bird (Breeders' Cup Classic)
Winner of this year's Kentucky Derby with some serious rail-hugging antics, Mine That Bird goes into the Breeders' Cup with a decent chance. TVG chat to his trainer Wooley who has one of the best moustaches in America.
Godolphin's US-based horses
Europe and Dubai are well used to seeing the blue of Godolphin at the finishing post. However TVG preview some their American based challengers including Music Note one of the favourites for the Ladies Classic.
