"Tony Martin might get close, but Cancellara is unopposable"

Among a very tired peloton, Tobias Gourlay finds a couple of riders with more motivation to do well than most in Saturday's race against the clock

Alberto Contador had a better time of it yesterday and so did this column. Samuel Sanchez, our [22.0] pick, fought hard and, as he caught Contador on Alpe d'Huez, his price touched [2.0]. Pierre Rolland beat him in the end, but the profit for back-to-lay punters (which we all should be in this sport) was good and amply covered dud bets on Basso and Vanendert.

Cadel Evans kept up with Andy Schleck and is now favourite to take the yellow jersey from him just in time for Paris. Evans is an excellent time-triallist in excellent form and will launch himself on to stage 20's 43km 'contre la montre' before Schleck. Among so many tired and less focused riders, the Australian should find his rhythm early and stick to it. He's attractively priced at [2.60] to finish in the top three.

He might have been attractively priced to win the stage, if it were not for Fabian Cancellara. Spartacus has won six prologues and time trials in previous Tours de France. He is an Olympic, world and Swiss champion against the clock. And he's been much less prominent in the mountains than he was last year, saving himself - perhaps - for today. Tony Martin might get close, but Cancellara is unopposable.

Best Bet: Back Fabian Cancellara @ [1.80] to be Stage 20 TT Winner
Recommended Bet: Back Cadel Evans @ [2.60] to be Stage 20 TT Top 3 Finish
