King conquers would-be-champ in first round's big upset
Mark Selby, second favourite for the World Championships, was matched at [1.08] on Betfair to advance to the second round when suffering defeat at the hands of Mark King.
King, despite consistently keeping pace with his opponent, was highly unfancied in the market and could be backed at an in-running high of [12.0]. He eventually sealed his passage to the second round with a 71 break in the 18th frame for a 10-8 win this afternoon.
Selby was matched at a low of [6.0] to win the tournament while King has moved from a high of [700.0] to [60.0].
