'Shotgun' matched at 1.1 on way to 10-9 defeat
Jamie Cope was matched at [1.1] on Betfair when seemingly on the cusp of a second round place during Sunday night's action at the 888.com World Snooker Championship.
The 22-year-old had a 40 point lead in the deciding frame of his first round encounter against Peter Ebdon but a loss of position let the 2002 champion back in and he took his chance with a run of 54 points to eventually win 10-9.
Ebdon was matched at a high of [10.0] to win the match and [85.0] in the tournament winner market where he now trades at [34.0].
Barry Hawkins was backed at 1.32 to defeat Ali Carter as their first round fixture also came down to a deciding frame. But it was Carter who came through in controversial circumstances, stopping a Hawkins comeback from 7-3 down after a three hour delay to the 19th frame.
