Selby did not enjoy himself against Stephen Lee
"Selby scraped past an average-looking Lee 6-4, while Murphy was in cruise control for most of his match against Martin Gould, which he won 6-2. The safest path to profit in this match, therefore, is to favour Murphy on the handicap market."
There's a sumptuous pair of matches to get stuck into at Alexandra Palace on Friday and Alex Lee can't resist a bet in both...
Mark Selby's position as World Number One can be compared to that of golfer Luke Donald, who holds the same lofty title in his own sport. Selby is a consistent performer, but has never won the World Championship, the equivalent of the Open in golf, which Donald hasn't won either. This accolade won't rest easily on Selby until he triumphs at The Crucible, although a Masters win at Alexandra Palace won't do his reputation any harm.
The Jester from Leicester looked far from the best player in snooker against Stephen Lee last time out. While Selby has, of course, already won the Masters twice, his journey to potential glory could be unceremoniously blocked by Shaun Murphy who is displaying much better form at present. Selby scraped past an average-looking Lee 6-4, while Murphy was in cruise control for most of his match against Martin Gould, which he won 6-2. The safest path to profit in this match, therefore, is to favour Murphy on the handicap market.
Friday's other fixture sees Wales' Mark Williams take on Australia's Neil Robertson in a match that offers more pedigree than finals day at Crufts.
This is quite simply a mouth-watering clash between two left-handed ex-world champions. Both of these players like nothing better than to attack and when you have two of the sports' greatest potters going head-to-head, one option is to strongly consider taking a look at the total centuries market. The radius of a cue tip separates this pair ability-wise, so expect this match to go the full 11 frames.

Your not making any sense. If you expect the Williams game to go 11 frames why are you backing over 9.5 frames at 1.8? Have a bet on 6-5 to each player at average odds of around 3.7.
