Ronnie O'Sullivan was matched at [1.01] on Betfair to defeat John Higgins when set fair for victory in the eighth frame of a titanic struggle at the Grand Prix this afternoon.
But a missed blue denied the Londoner a second round win and his Scottish opponent capitalised, taking the match in the deciding frame to reward his in-running backers at a high of [50.0].
A total of £5,010 was traded at [1.01] on an O'Sullivan win.
Higgins now trades as the [3.0] tournament favourite having touched [14.5] during his second round struggles.
