Downpours in Qatar mean Stoner, Rossi and co race on Monday night.
Round 1 of the MotoGP season, due to be run on Sunday night (12/4) in Qatar has been postponed due to a torrential downpour. Whilst a MotoGP race would normally run in the rain it is not possible in Qatar due to the event being a night race. The glare from the floodlights in wet conditions reduces visability for the riders resulting in major safety concerns. Following negotiations between officals and all teams the race will now be run on Monday (13/4) at 7:00PM BST, weather permitting. Casey Stoner will start a 1.85 favourite from pole position.
