Lewis Hamilton has taken over from Kimi Raikkonen as favourite to win this year's Formula One Championship after being matched at 4.9 to win the opening race of the season, the Australian Open. Raikkonen, who was matched at a low of 2.02 for glory in Melbourne before the race has now drifted to 2.98 to successfully defend his title after finishing ninth and picking up just the single point. Hamilton is 2.12 to win the Championship.
The Finn was one of several big names missing out on a podium finish. He was matched at 1.25 to finish top three whilst team-mate Massa was matched at 1.47 and Alonso 3.05. Heidfeld and Rosberg who did finish on the podium were matched at 9.2 and 18 respectively.
