MotoGP Czech Republic betting and odds

A real betting thriller awaits as the top riders in the world head to Brno in the Czech Republic on August 17-19 to take part in round 12 of the FIM World Championship series when there will be plenty of opportunities to have a MotoGP bet for those who like their motorsport fast and furious on two wheels.

There will be polarized opinions as to who will come out on top in this event and the odds available in the betting market suggests there is little to choose between the top three of Casey Stoner, Valentino Rossi and Dani Pedrosa.

The premier class in past seasons has been dominated by the Italian rider Rossi, whose natural class and flair has made him a popular bet over recent years, while endearing him to many of the sport's fans in the process.

However, the 28-year-old Fiat Yamaha rider failed to land the odds last year when he lost his crown to the upcoming Nicky Hayden with his maiden MotoGP World Championship title. Despite entering last season's final race eight points behind Rossi, many punters saw their bets on the legend securing a sixth-successive title fall at the final fence, as Hayden capitalised on Rossi's crash on lap 5 to land the odds.

Those with bets on Hayden successfully defending his title this season have long been given up as he finds himself down in tenth place in the overall standings, although he is still looking to play a part in helping his Repsol Honda team land the constructors' championship.

Rossi though remains in the hunt to reclaim his number one status but he finds himself playing catch up in the overall standings. He lies 44 points behind Stoner, with seven races remaining, which is reflected in the betting and will hope to make inroads into that lead starting at the Czech Republic MotoGP.

Many believe Stoner has what it takes and plenty backers are not afraid to bet on the young Aussie rider claiming this year's title, with his odds in the MotoGP betting shortening all the time.

The Ducati rider though will be only too aware that with the quality lying directly beneath him in the table he can ill afford any slip ups that would let in either Rossi or Pedrosa and those with bets on the rider face an anxious time.

It all makes for an intriguing race as the action recommences following the summer break and punters who have opted to have a bet in the MotoGP betting markets will be in no doubt that the conclusion to the season promises to be as exciting as ever.
