Vincent van der Voort went down in history yesterday as only the second man to be beaten by a female in a televised event, and the first in the Grand Slam of Darts. A small crumb of comfort for the Dutchman is that he certainly won't be the last.

It was also a defeat which made qualification from Group A an impossibility. So who would you like to play next in a dead rubber match in order to restore some pride? No, I didn't think many of you would suggest the 14 times World Champion Phil Taylor.

Taylor has been his typical merciless self this week. Two 5-0 whitewashes already with identical 105.85 averages in each match mean he has already qualified for the last 16.
