Outsider trades at [7.2] as voting ends as Sports Personality of the Year again has a shock result.
Triple Olympic gold-medallist Chris Hoy was the surprise winner of the BBC Sports Personality of the Year denying fellow Olympian Rebecca Adlington and F1 champion Lewis Hamilton.
The Betfair market called it wrong on the night, they had Adlington as the [1.69] clear favourite when voting closed shortly before 9pm. Adlington has traded at a high of [1000.0].
And if Mansfield's golden girl wasn't to win, Betfair customers had Hamilton as the next likeliest winner. The 23-year-old was [3.5] second-favourite to lift the trophy.
But it was Hoy who came through as the award ceremony again threw up a shock result.
One Betfair customer had £2 on Hoy at [260.0].
