Malcolm has been a racing broadcaster and journalist since 1988 working initially on the original British Telecom racing service which evolved over the years into Racecall - where he still puts in an occasional appearance.
A film graduate from Goldsmiths' College in London, Malcolm combined his racing career with film and television extra work until moving to the North in 1999 where he worked for the Tote as well as commentating on British and Irish racing for ICS.
During this period he rode work for trainer Robert Wylie (now working for Sheikh Hamdan Al Maktoum) aboard the likes of Forest Ivory who in his earlier years finished fourth to Istabraq in the Sun Alliance Hurdle.
A contributor to many publications, both at home and abroad, Malcolm returned to the South at the beginning of 2007 to work on Betfair Radio.
