Feature Race: 4.00pm - Turftv.co.uk Nursery
Admission prices: Grandstand & Paddock £14, Course £3.50.
Folkestone
Type: Flat
First Race Time: 2.20pm
Notable Jockeys: Top 10 jockeys Richard Hughes (2nd) and Dane O'Neill (9th). William Carson, grandson of the legendary Willie Carson. William Buick, joint-leader of the Apprentice Championship. Notable Horses: Emirates World (2.50pm) has a Group 1 Racing Post Trophy entry at the end of October. Mandarin Spirit (4.20pm) has already recorded three wins at Folkestone. There could be some dough to be made at Folkestone today with both Granary (3.20pm), a winner last time out, and Granary Girl (5.20pm), winner of two of her last three starts, hoping to rise to the occasion and prove to be the best things since sliced bread.
Feature Race: 4.50pm - Westenhanger Handicap
Admission prices: £17 (One price)
Leicester
Type: Flat
First Race Time: 2.10pm
Notable Jockeys: Jockeys' Championship leader Ryan Moore. Other top 10 jockeys Neil Callan (3rd) Jamie Spencer (4th) and Jimmy Fortune (7th). The ever-popular Frankie Dettori.
Notable Horses: Trainer Sir Michael Stoute has won the fillies' maiden stakes on this card five times since 2001. He runs Phillipina in division one at 2.10pm and July Jasmine in division two at 5.10pm. Moonquake (4.10pm) was 3rd in the King George V Stakes at Royal Ascot, and takes on Kossack, a full brother to St Leger winner Milan. Four of the five horses lining up at 3.10pm won last time out, though only Alcalde is unbeaten, and he represents trainer Mark Johnston who won this race in 2006. Cotswolds in the 5.10pm is well named: its dam is Valley of Gold, so Cotswolds is an obvious name choice after the famous golden stone found in the Cotswolds area.
Feature Race: 4.10pm - Ladbrokes.com Quorn Handicap
Admission prices: Club Room £19, Enclosure £12.
