Haydock Park
Type Jump.
First Race 1.10pm.
Notable Jockeys Tony McCoy - perennial Champion Jump Jockey & leading rider this season. Jamie Moore rides for his father Gary. Robert 'Choc' Thornton rode over 100 winners last season & won the 2008 Champion Hurdle. Sam Thomas rode Denman to win the 2008 Gold Cup.
Notable Horses 2.40pm Naiad Du Misselot won the Coral Cup over hurdles last season and is an exciting recruit to chasing.
Kingscape in the 3.10pm represents trainer James Fanshawe, better known as a Flat trainer in Newmarket but more than capable with the few jumps horses he has. He has trained two Champion Hurdle winners and another Festival winner, Reveillez, which also ran in the colours of Kingscape's owner, JP McManus.
Feature Race Racing Welfare Handicap Chase 2.10pm.

Concessions for students and senior citizens are also available. Under 16s free (must be accompanied by an adult).
Other Information First day of the Jumps Season for Haydock Park and it is Racing Welfare Day when funds are raised for those most in need in the sport.
Lingfield Park

First Race 1.20pm.
Notable Jockeys Richard Hughes - 2nd in the Champion jockey title race. William Buick & David Probert are going down to the wire in the race to be crowned Champion Apprentice jockey. Both riders are on 49 winners each. Jamie Spencer - reigning champion rider & 3rd so far this year.
Notable Horses Watch out for Rutba in the 3.20pm who attempts 4 wins in a row.
Feature Race Burstow Handicap 2.50pm.
Admission £13. Under 16s free (must be accompanied by an adult).
Other Information Spectacular 20 minute fireworks display choreographed to music and lasers at 7pm.Racegoers attending the afternoon racing gain free re-admission (upon display of their race badge).
Towcester
Type Jump
First Race 1.30pm.
Notable Jockeys Paddy Brennan - one of only four jockeys to ride over 100 winners last season - this feat also includes jockey, Richard Johnson who lies 2nd in the title race. Timmy Murphy - winner of the 2008 Grand National.
Notable Horses Bring Me Sunshine won the feature race in 2006 for father/son combination Colin & Joe Tizzard & the same team go for it again at 3.00pm. He takes on Character Building, last seen finishing third to Denman in the 2007 Hennessy Gold Cup.
Feature Race Burdens Handicap Hurdle 3.00pm.

Great Leighs
Type All Weather Flat.
First Race 5.50pm.
Notable Jockeys Ryan Moore - leading rider this season with over 180 winners. Chasing those winners for the Champion Apprentice title sees both William Buick & David Probert making the journey across from earlier rides at Lingfield. Jamie Spencer - reigning champion rider. Hayley Turner - leading female rider.
Notable Horses Former Royal Asot winner Eddie Jock in the 7.50pm has won at Great Leighs before for the powerful Goldophin stable & goes for a repeat performance. The stables other runner Igor Protti has not won in the UK and bids to break his duck before making his journey back to Dubai for the winter. Going for a hat-trick of wins is Izzibizzi at 8.50pm.
Feature Race Forbury Hotel Orient Open Conditions Stakes 7.50pm.

Other Information Following the success of The Thoroughbred Open, Great Leighs are staging another "match practice" race, this time for horses aiming for some of the big dirt challenges in the far East this winter. This is The Orient Open race-night & the highlight of which is a 10f event for three-year-olds.
