At 12.55pm dual Grade 1 winning hurdler Straw Bear continues his novice chase season after finishing 2nd to Arkle favourite Tatenen last time out. He takes on Pasco in a rematch from last month, where the pair were 2nd and 3rd respectively at Exeter. Last year's winner of this race, Big Buck's, is favourite for the Hennessy Gold Cup on Saturday.
Another rematch from the same October Exeter card takes place at 2.05pm - The Tother One beat Gone To Lunch into 2nd place and these two old foes do battle once more. They know each other well from their hurdling days too - in Grade 1 hurdles at Aintree and Cheltenham The Tother One was 3rd in both whilst Gone To Lunch was 2nd and 5th respectively.
Trainer Philip Hobbs has remarkably won the last three renewals of the 3.15pm race, and has Hector's Choice lined up to make it four in a row.
