Pontefract

Type: Flat

First Race Time: 2.10pm

Notable Jockeys: Joint champion jockey Jamie Spencer; the ever popular Frankie Dettori; top ten jockeys Jimmy Fortune and Tom Eaves.

Notable Horses: Jack Dawkins (3.10pm) won his final two races of 2007 and makes his seasonal reappearance after a 346 day absence.

Keith Reveley has two interesting runners in the 3.40pm - Let It Be, winner of 4 out of his last 5 races and Tazbar, a Grade 2 winner over hurdles. They take on Godolphin's Veracity who was second in last season's Goodwood Cup.

Feature Race: 3.10pm Trinidad and Tobago Handicap

Other Information: Trinidad and Tobago Day - As usual, there's steel band music by Hugo and the Hugonotes, while representatives of the Trinidad & Tobago High Commission are guests of the racecourse. A couple of contestants in the Miss Trinidad & Tobago UK competition will also be present. The giant screen situated opposite the main stands will enable racegoers to follow all of the action.
