Plumpton

Type: Jumps.

First Race: 2.20pm.

Notable Horses Bergo (2.20pm) was second in a Group 3 on the Flat last time and is an interesting recruit to hurdling for Gold Cup winning owner Harry Findlay.

The father and son partnership of Gary and Jamie Moore have won the last two runnings of the 3.20pm race - they are represented by Lady Trail tomorrow.

Feature Race: 2.50pm totesuper7Handicap Hurdle.

Other Information: Moorcroft Racehorse Welfare Centre Raceday. Now in its ninth year, racegoers have helped raise over £300,000 for the Moorcroft Racehorse Welfare Centre, based at Slinfold, West Sussex. The centre is one of three BHA accredited racehorse retraining centres in the UK, where former racehorses are re-trained for a career after racing as a recreation or companion horse.

Moorcroft Raceday features a lucky draw for racegoers who could win star prizes such as a Christmas Hamper, Case of Champagne, a night at a 4 Star Country House Hotel or a morning on the gallops with Gary Moore.

There is also a parade of current Moorcroft success stories at 3.35pm including Mitcham who won nearly £150,000 in his racing career and No More Hassle, a 9 time winner. The inmates will be ridden by the Olympic bronze winning three day eventer Tina Cook, and Richard Dunwoody, the former Grand National winner and Champion Jump Jockey who has recently returned from walking to the South Pole.


Pontefract

Type: Flat.

First Race: 2.10pm.

Notable Jockeys: Top 10 jockey Phillip Robinson.

Top female rider Hayley Turner.

Michael Hills rides for his father Barry, Richard Evans rides for his father David.

Notable Horses: The feature race for the last two years has seen wins from horses trained by former England footballer, Mick Channon. Siberian Tiger took last year's race, following the victory by Sweet Lilly in 2006. He is double handed this time with Danidh Dubai and Lahaleeb.

The 3.10pm race sees the 2007 winner Dig Deep and the 2006 winner Kay Two trying to win the race again.

Feature Race: The totepool Silver Tankard Stakes, a Listed race for juveniles over one mile, offers increased prize money of £40,000.

Other Information: The owner, trainer and stable staff of the horse accumulating the most number of points during the series - now in it's fifth year - each receive a memento and £1,000. Going into Monday's finale, Aphorism - in foal to the French Derby winner, Shamardal - has a one point advantage over At The Money, with Thewhirlingdervish a further point behind in third place.

John Quinn and Paul Hanagan lead their respective categories in the battle to be the top trainer and jockey this season at Pontefract, in the competitions supported by Hygicare Ltd. Malton-based Quinn has recorded six winners, while Hanagan - the leading rider on the Yorkshire racecourses so far this season - has five winners to his credit.


Windsor

Type: Flat.

First Race: 2.30pm.

Notable Jockeys: Champion jockey elect Ryan Moore and last year's champion Jamie Spencer.

Notable Horses: 4.30pm Sofia's Star was an impressive winner over course and distance last time out.

Feature Race: 4.00pm Ladbrokes Odds On John Butler Handicap.

Other Information: This is the last meeting of the year at Windsor.
